Life’s a Cycle

by mathe | Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 at 11:42 pm | Life as I See it |

Just a few weeks ago, I made a most difficult journey back to my home country to attend my father’s funeral. After a week, I flew back here to the UK in time for my husband’s birthday. Birth…death… funeral… birthdays, yeah, I’m sure you geot the drift.

Life is indeed a cycle. It has a beginning and an end. Life’s components and elements just come and go and then come again. It has its ups and downs. It was indeed a low moment for me and my family to lose someone we love unconditionally. But life is still worth living and so, it was with joy in my heart to come back here to be with my husband on his 39th birthday.

Yes, 39, but he doesn’t look like it. I’d like to believe that it’s because I am good at looking after him that he looks young but  the reality is that he has good genes, that’s why. Thirty nine years, 14 years of which were spent with me, and counting. I thank the Lord for the privilege of having him in my life and being there to walk with him through life.

Babes, happy, happy birthday!

    That’s sad to know. Condolence.

Indeed, we just have to learn to accept and move on with life.
