Speaking of birthdays…

He’s a big boy now so he did not get the traditional children’s party. He had a special celebration in church the day before his birthday with two other children who were having their birthdays this month as well.

On the day itself, he brought a bag of sweets for his classmates. Then, when he got home from school, he found the Nintendo DS Game he was requesting. Last but not least, he got to eat dinner in the restaurant of his choice – a place not more than two minutes drive from our flat. What a wonderful way to celebrate an 8-year old’s birthday!

While waiting for dinner to be served, we had a few snapshots for remembrance and just to while the minutes away:

so loving his dinner!

It was a simple day but the boy had fun on his birthday and that’s what’s matters most. Oh, and speaking of birthdays, let me share with you a photo of the pretty cake my hubby gave me on my 4oth – I almost did not want to eat it but sadly, I did – almost all of it!

It’s my hubby who’s next in the birthday list. I’ll keep you all posted. Bye for now!
