What a Journey it has Been

Note: This has been posted yesterday but due to a technical error I need not explain here, it appeared in the archives instead. Anyway, i detected the problem, albeit belatedly so, I am re-posting it now.

I am starting to settle down in WP for this website and though I have yet to totally master the dashboard, I think I am gaining more confidence in having greater control over the “look” of HotMomma.
I was being nostalgic yesterday, writing about how this blog has started and how it evolved into what it is now and then when I came back to my laptop after I have left it for a few hours on standby, I couldn’t find my draft anynmore! Whatever happened, I have no other option but to re-do what I have started because I just feel like sharing my thoughts on this website’s milestones.
Looking back, it doesn’t seem like it’s four years ago that HotMomma was set up as a blog called Keypounder. It was then just in compliance to a requirement for my Masteral elective in Computer Ethics. My first-ever post was very short but since that time, I knew that this thing about keeping an online journal will be with me for keeps.
Then, two years later, I re-thought my blogging life and decided to make Keypounder more targetted or specific, if you like, and that’s when HotMomma was born. That was right after I arrived here in the UK with my two children to join their father. That post, I remember was written with an equal measure of anticipation and uncertainty. But I have not regretted pursuing this subject for my blogging because if I will be honest about it, motherhood is what defines me now as a person.
After yet another two years (now this is becoming a habit, the milestones happening two years apart, I mean), here I am transferring HotMomma to a new home, where I can have a better control over the appearance and over-all packaging of the site.
I don’t want to think about what may come next in two years’ time. One thing for sure (God willing, of course), HotMomma will still be here for all of you.
