The Journey Goes On

This blog started in fulfillment of a requirement for my Computer Ethics course in my MA back in 2005. If I tell you that I chose that particular subject as my elective because it was the cheapest-priced, you might laugh at me. It’s true, I thought at that time that hey, I think I can pull it off.

To my deep regret, the teacher proved to be more serious than I thought about making us suffer, er, learn the basics of interacting, surviving and navigating life in cyberspace. I mean, I was doing more homework for that subject than all my major subjects combined that sem!

One of those exceedingly challenging assignments was the creation of this blog. Now with the benefit of hindsight, I can say that I have a lot to thank that teacher for. Even with her acrid letter of rebuke for me for complaining about the workload, I think there’s a chance I will vote for her canonization. I can just imagine how dull my life would be without its blogging dimension.

After lying dormant for several months, I decided to give this blog a new personality and so I renamed it and bought my own domain. This was in December 2007. Now, another phase of its existence has come as I move HotMomma forward to make it more relevant in the coming next decade of the 21st Century.

So, in my recent post, I wrote about the need for this website to be reinvented just one more time. Then when I think about it, I get depressed because there are just a lot of things I want to share with my readers and yet I look at the page and I can’t go beyond the first word anymore. I don’t find inspiration in its appearance and its lay out and everything about its look and packaging.

On the brighter side, I also remember how much it has evolved and how it survived and I get inspired to move forward with its renovation, reinvention and rebirth into a better, bigger, more beautiful website. For HotMomma, the journey goes on. And it will, promise.
