Apologies for the Long Absence, Etcetera

Yeah, it is unforgivable for a blogger to leave her blog untended for a week! I am so very sorry. No excuses, just plain apology – a big “I am Sorry”.

Having that out of the way, let me tell you how busy I have been with shopping and gift wrapping and getting ill. Yes, until now, while the worst is over, it is still not so good for me because my cough decided to stay for a while (I hope it does not have to be with me til 2009!).

So, yes, most of the Christmas shopping is done and the gift wrapping almost completed as well. I just printed our personalized gift cards now so I did not buy that one. Neat, because I got to put exactly the message I want on them.

Speaking of shopping, we went as a family after church last Sunday. We were up early, we went to church and then went straight to the mall for lunch and yes, shopping. Upon arriving at home, I still had energy left to gift-wrap some of the items we bought before I got confused and forget which one goes to whom.

My big boy went straight to their room but the hubby and my little boy stayed with me in the living room watching TV. After a few minutes, while I was enjoying my gift-wrapping session, I sensed stillness and silence all around me and then I looked and saw this:

They were really tired, I guess. I mean, this was like five minutes after they sat down together on this sofa.

Earlier in the day, in church, I felt so grateful that at least, we were healthy enough to be able to attend and so I took a photo of my boys in their Sunday Class activities. I was just happy, that’s all, seeing my boys well again after a week of being down with the flu:

Jonathan decorated his Christmas log cake which he brought home to devour – it was so sweet for our taste so he had the pleasure of having it all to himself. Meanwhile, Elijah got busy decorating his star cookie which was supposed to be for the Christmas tree but found its fate in its owner’s mouth, he he he!

I hope each one of you is healthy and well to welcome the Christmas season. Til next post, guys!
