Heliumized!

Help! I’m Heliumized! Yes, that writing network where you can earn serious money and indulge in your favourite past-time (writing) has totally sucked me into it. In the past days, I have been dreaming of it, gazing at my page and exploring their website non-stop. I think my former sideline (online writing for real money) is actually making a come back.
What does this mean and how does it affect my blogging life? Well, in a lot of ways, it will enhance it but might slightly overshadow it at times (i.e., fewer posts- as if they have ever been constant and regular). What I hope though, is for my writing to be given a new lease of life and the writer in me to be encouraged to come out of her eternal hibernation.
A blogger-friend invited me a long time ago to join but I heeded her not and now, I regret it. So far, I have submitted five articles and three of them have reached no. 1 rank already. It does a lot of good to my confidence, even if I haven’t realized any income at all yet (I’ve only been a member for like, two weeks anyway). It feels like an affirmation for me as a trying-hard writer and I just feel so good about it.
It’s the same feeling when I receive comments in my blogs from my readers who like my posts. It does a blogger a lot of good to receive good comments, really. That is why as much as I can, I also leave comments. Not that I want merely an I-scratch-your-back, you-scratch-mine set up, but it is like giving respect to fellow bloggers who put in effort to write something for my leading pleasure.
So anyway, I am writing about this so that anyone of you who is considering writing as a calling for the rest of your life, you go to Helium and join. Better yet, let me know by leaving a comment here and I will send you an invite and then, you become my invitee and you will do this blogger immense good (wink!). Seriously, yes, as I invite more people to join, I get a few rebates and you can earn the same thing if you invite others as well.
Again, I must say that I regretted the fact that I dilly-dallied for a long time before I seriously gave it a thought. I hope no one else will ever make the same mistake again.
Bye!
